Voluntary beach cleaning by Intrum Hellas’ employees in one of the most beautiful beaches of Attica

To honour the European Maritime Day on May 20th

In the framework of the Social Responsibility Program of Intrum Hellas and to honor the European Maritime Day on May 20, a voluntary initiative was held on Sunday 15 May to clean the beach of Ag. Nikolaos in Anavyssos. This initiative launches a series of environmental awareness and protection actions that also aim to highlight the value of volunteering across Intrum employees.

By actively supporting the aims of the Save Your Hood volunteer movement, Intrum Hellas volunteers, along with their families, had the opportunity to learn about coastal pollution, waste management and recycling. Then, equipped with special equipment and positive mood, they contributed to the environmental upgrade of one of the most beautiful beaches of Attica by collecting over 3,500 liters of garbage.

"At Intrum, we believe that protecting the environment is the responsibility of all of us and that the value of volunteering is invaluable. With enthusiasm, our volunteers were informed and mobilized in a symbolic effort, sending the message that together we can shape a sustainable future for future generations. An optimistic start for a series of actions that brings our employees closer, living our values and our goals for a sustainable future," stated Maria Fatzikmanoli, Assistant General Manager, HR Director Strategic Market Greece, Intrum
