Regarding the package of 74 hotels that Intrum puts up for sale Mr. George Georgakopoulos, Managing Director Greece, Intrum, emphasizes in an interview with mononews.gr that "We are not selling the loans, but we are looking for an investor, we want to give a real second chance to these hotels to grow. It is an opportunity to invest in 5 and 4 star hotels in main destinations of the country, such as the Aegean and Crete".

International funds, hotel operators and hoteliers operating in the Greek market have expressed strong interest in the package of 74 hotels offered by Intrum for sale. Most of them are 5- and 4-star hotels, with a total capacity of 4,278 rooms and located on popular tourist islands - Mykonos, Crete, Corfu - but also in mainland Greece.

"The big challenge is not the restructuring of their loans, but that the hotels are not competitive, they need investments in fixed assets, know-how is required and partnerships. So we decided to put these hotels up for sale and we are looking for strategic investors to come and help them develop", Mr. G. Georgakopoulos points out to mononews.gr.
